As of December 1, 2004 the Bread of Life Church doors closed. We continued to serve our constituents through 2005 with services held in parking lots and on the streets of Los Angeles. The leading of the Holy Spirit brought about closure to ministry in the city center after planting 7 churches, training of college students, teaching and preaching at the missions in Los Angeles, speaking into the lives of literally hundreds of men, women, and children, and finally building the relationship with so many loved ones who will always have a secured & deep place in our hearts.
As pastors with 20 years service to those we so dearly love, Barbara and I knew in our hearts we were being led by the Holy Spirit to move on and UP in ministry.
Not many know the challenge, extent of ministry time, devotion, and pain that comes with inner city ministry to those who are often very difficult to love. It was only through the Grace of God that we were able to continue ministry after many challenging and trying times.
Not many Christians experience the type of attacks we experienced that come from hell as we pulled thousands of people from the fires that awaited them. The attacks on family, health, finances, children, emotions, and time continued to come as we stood firm in this "FRONT LINE MINISTRY." The experience gained allows us to move on with God's grace to any ministry the Lord sets before us.
We continue ministry at Magnolia Park United Methodist Church in Burbank Ca. As servants of God we know change is challenging but with the Holy Spirit, "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us." "We wait on the Lord".
